50 Line Joker Poker

Playtech’s smoothly running 50 Line Joker Poker game features an excellent layout. The first hand is dealt in large cards at the bottom of the screen, while the other 49 hands are situated along the main part of the screen. The coin value selector, allowing a choice of values from 0.01, 0.05 through 0.10 and 0.25 to 0.50, is situated bottom right.

Game operations buttons sit underneath the main hand and a cell situated on the right of the screen displays the total bet for each deal. On the left, another cell shows the amount won at the end of the game. A toolbar at the bottom displays the player’s balance to the left, with the menu button situated on the right. This button leads to the help file, game history and options.

Options include adjustable game speed and Bet Max (5 coins per hand). A lower number of coins can be selected using the Bet One button (1 click per coin). The total amount bet (number of coins x coin value x 50) will be deducted from the player’s starting balance once Deal is clicked.

When Deal is clicked, the five cards for the main hand are dealt and the player clicks on the cards he wishes to hold. Should a winning combination be dealt, these cards will be held automatically. All cards placed on hold will then appear in the other, so far blank, 49 hands (in the respective positions).

The Deal button is clicked again and the cards not on hold in the main hand are replaced and any blank spaces in the other hands are filled. All hands are dealt from separate decks (52 cards plus 1 joker) and each hand is paid out independently according to the payout tables (varying with the number of coins bet). Kings or better is the lowest possible paying hand. The joker, (a wild card), allows the possibility of having five, rather than just four of a kind. There is also a difference in payout between a Joker Royal Flush and a normal Royal Flush.

Total winnings will then be shown in the Won cell and the player is given a choice of three options. He may have his winnings added to his balance or choose to wager either half or all of his winnings in the so-called gamble game.

Either of the latter two options will take him to the gamble game, where a dealer’s card is then dealt face up and another four cards will be dealt face down. The player clicks on one of the face down cards. If this card is ranked higher than that of the dealer, the player doubles the amount he staked, while a lower card loses. A win will enable a repeat of the gamble game.

Altogether, this is a fun game to play and with the added gamble game, as well as very high payout percentages, it certainly offers a fair amount of excitement.
