Visit Ancient Egypt With Treasure Nile

Treasure Nile, with five reels and nine pay lines, is the first of Microgaming’s progressive jackpot slots offering a scatter symbol and has 35 winning combinations. The speed of the game is adjustable and there is also an auto play option available. Playable after downloading software from the casino (there are at least 15 casinos offering this game, with welcoming bonuses ranging from $100 to $1500), this exciting jewel of a game has graphics that truly mirror the beauty we expect from ancient Egypt, although they could at times be a little clearer. The accompanying music actually goes with the theme, which makes a nice change. It can also be turned off, as can the other game, win and background sounds – certainly a positive if you prefer to play with a bit of peace and quiet.

Once download is completed and a bankroll has been registered, the player sets his bet value. Coin bets are fixed at $0.50, with a maximum bet of $4.50. It is possible to place a bet lower than the maximum, however, not only this reduces winning chances as not all lines will be played, it is also not possible to win the jackpot on a lower bet. With the jackpot starting at $40000 and an average payout of between $85000 and $95000, missing out would be a real shame – especially when you consider that one lucky player actually won almost $500000!

When the bet is set, the reels are spun. Winning combinations of five symbols adjoining each other in any line can be read left to right, as well as right to left. Regular symbols will pay out in coins as follows: Wheat – 60, Boat – 100, Pillar – 120, Scroll – 150, Cobra – 500, Necklace – 600, Ankh – 1000, Anubis – 1500, Sphinx – 3000 and Pharao – 6000

Five Pharao symbols are also the jackpot symbols when appearing in the 9th line. The wild symbol is represented by the Pyramid. This symbol can substitute any other symbol, except the Pharao in the 9th line or the scatter symbol, represented by the Scarab. 5 Pyramids in a line will also pay out 6000 coins, as will a combination of Pyramids and Pharaos. The Scarab scatter acts as a multiplier. 3 Scarabs (the minimum needed) will multiply your winnings by 5, four will multiply by 10 and five will multiply by 50. The frequent appearance of these symbols makes up for the relatively high betting value.

Payout for winning combinations will be added automatically to the players bankroll, with a portion of the bet being added to the jackpot total unless it has been hit.

As a whole, this game is exciting and fun to play and has good payouts even on the regular symbols. It is, however, a shame that there are only 9 pay lines and no premium payout for 5 wild symbols, as well as having no bonus or free spin games.
